How to Develop Assessment
for Learning in the Classroom:

A Masterclass for teachers in UK Schools, Independent Schools,
International Schools,  Post 16 institutions and FE Colleges

This Masterclass has been designed to provide solutions to meet the changing developments around formative assessment.  Assessment techniques for use in the classroom and the school will be explored.  It will be especially useful for members of the Leadership Group, Subject Leaders, Year Leaders and Assessment Co-ordinators.

The course will provide an opportunity to explore, discuss and address the main issues around formative assessment techniques especially those in the classroom

Summative assessment techniques are becoming well developed in schools, but real progress can be made when schools focus on formative classroom based approaches. The course will provide practical solutions to tackling both assessment
of and assessment for learning.

Proven strategies that support whole school assessment systems will be balanced by student level assessment approaches. The important link between learning and assessment will be emphasised throughout the day.

Trainer: The course will be led by Chris Haines. Chris provides many In Service Training sessions at a national level. Chris works closely with many schools and leads national conferences on strategies to improve teaching, learning and assessment.
