Course Leader

The course will be led by Chris Haines who is a full time trainer and coach. He has a background in school improvement and leading on learning. He works closely with many schools on improving teaching and learning in the classroom and the leadership of learning across the school. He has worked extensively in developing the coaching skills team leaders and spend much of his time coaching senior and middle leaders or training them to be coaches. He has trained over 4000 people to be coaches and has over 500 hours experience of leadership coaches. He now has  level 7 Diploma in Executive Coaching from the Institute of Leadership and Management.

This Masterclass has been designed to give colleagues confidence and solutions to develop their skills as a coach and improve their teacher leadership.

 

The Course

This course has been designed to give colleagues confidence and solutions to develop their skills as a coach and improve their leadership. The emphasis of the course is on listening, questioning, building rapport, goal setting and motivation. It will show how everyone has the skills to be an effective coach by using a tried and tested model that works. A mixture of input, activity and practical sessions will be used. It will provide an opportunity to use coaching techniques in the work place immediately. It will focus on coaching others towards improved performance whatever the context.
