Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
for Learning and for Life

A CPD/staff development course for teachers in UK Schools,
International Schools, Independent schools, post-16 institutions and FE Colleges

The Course
This training day led by Jackie Beere OBE will give an introduction to the principles of neuro linguistic programming (NLP) and how they can be applied within school to help both teachers and students.

The day will have a very practical focus as Jackie is a deputy headteacher and AST and uses these techniques within her own classroom.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) began with the study of excellence.  Why do some people succeed against the odds and others fail despite good fortune?

The originators of NLP concluded that the difference between winners and losers is the way that they think, and ultimately, their emotional intelligence.

This day will explore the principles behind NLP and practice some strategies for using it to help break down learning barriers.  It is however a huge area for study and this course can only be an introduction to a fascinating and powerful way of thinking that really can change minds.

By the end of this course you will have learnt some practical strategies for the classroom that can help with behaviour management, motivation and creating the mind set for good learning.  As Henry Ford said, "If you think you can, or if you think you can't ... You're probably right"

The course will cover:

  • The essential principles and theory of NLP
  • How these can change the way you think
  • Practical activities to discover the 'magic' of mind management through NLP
  • Using NLP strategies in the classroom
  • Using NLP to teach emotional intelligence
  • Breaking down barriers to learning
  • Applying NLP principles as an ethos for the school and for life

All course members will receive:

  • A copy of all the slides used during the presentation
  • Resources to use with students
  • Further information about NLP
  • Resource and reference list
